別名大貞神社と言われる薦神社は、全国八幡宮の総本山である宇佐神宮の祖宮と言われています。社殿背後の三角池がご神体です。また箭山の古称もある八面山と関係が深く、鎮座する箭山神社は薦神社の奥宮ともいわれています。

Also known as the Osada Shrine, the Komo Shrine is said to be the predecessor to the Usa Jingu, the head temple of all the Hachiman shrines in the country. The Misumi Pond behind the shrine is the shintai, or object of worship.
It is also deeply connected to Mt. Hachimen, formerly known as Yayama, so it is said that Yayama Shrine is the rear shrine of Komo Shrine.
