This garden lies to the side of the front gate of the Suehiro Shrine, known as the Shimizu Gomon. The moat in front of the shrine has been incorporated into the garden, which has been cultivated in the limited space between it and the stone wall. Adorned with small stones, the area instills a quietness in the visitor’s heart. In contrast, a four-layered stone wall extends from the gate towards the summit, giving off the majestic impression of a castle.
