This restaurant began business in Meiji 34, and the building has been well-maintained to this day as it carries along a rich history. Everything in the interior has history behind it, from Fukuzawa Yukichi’s scroll to valuable paintings and works of calligraphy.
A meal in this romantic, elegant building is sure to taste of the warm hospitality of Japan itself. It underwent major renovation in Taisho 11, and has presently been selected as a registered cultural asset.
