男の子が扮する河童4人をはじめ、大団扇を持つ者など氏子総勢約70名がきれいな衣装をまとい、河童封じの楽といわれる楽を踊ります。源平合戦の折、平家の落人の亡霊が河童となって悪戯をするようになり、その河童を慰めるためにこの楽を行うようになったといわれています。

Along with four boys dressed as kappas, parishioners totaling around 70 in number wield large paper fans and adorn themselves beautiful attire to perform a dance called the “Sealing of the Kappa”.
During the Genpei War, the souls of the fallen ones of the Taira family were said to have become kappas, who began to pull pranks on others. This dance was then performed to console those spirits.
