Found near the confluence of the Masaki and Tsutami rivers, Masaki Falls has been recognized through the ages as Tsutami’s most famous waterfall. It flows gracefully down beautifully formed columnar joints in three stages; upper, middle, and lower; while lush thickets of trees surround the area.

Known long ago as the setting for Nonaka’s banquets, the owner of Nagaiwa Castle, various legends surrounding the waterfall are said to exist.
