Rai Sanyo writes in his “Yabakei Zukanki” that upon laying his eyes on this stunning mountain, he threw his pen and exclaimed in awe. Rocky peaks and stone pillars reflect their towering bodies onto the ravines of Yamakuni River, and thickets of trees such as pine adorn the peaks.
